Through this blog and other means we aim to promote, sell, and provide advice on objects of art – carefully selected for their high quality and distinctive style -- particularly those produced by Latin American artists.
The first group of paintings we are exhibiting and putting on sale belongs to the collector Sra. Flor Rojas Rodriguez. These paintings -- rich in nuance, realistic, and imaginative – were acquired in different parts of the world, including the Dominican Republic, Sra. Rojas’ mother country, over the past 20 years. These paintings are part of Sra. Rojas’ collection of more than 100 paintings and other art objects.
Also being exhibited and for sale are selected paintings by the distinguished Dominican artists Rafael de Lemos and Manuel Montilla, whose works have rightfully earned them various national awards and renown. Both artists are members of the Collection’s advisory panel. Employing what we call the “artist’s jealous eye”, their work with the Collection has been marked by an inspiring degree of enthusiasm and professionalism, ensuring that our patron’s needs for advice and assistance will be served efficiently and effectively.
It is our hope that, in its role as an online art gallery, the Collection will help propel contemporary Latin American art to the world’s cultural limelight as well as encourage the young and talented artists of the region to use this medium to promote their work.
