Las Flores Art Collection is pleased to announce that Ms. Flor Rojas Rodriguez, has come to occupy the position of Director of the Virtual Gallery from 2 January 2009.
Ms. Rojas has devoted her youth to study fine arts, and through more than 20 years of living in different countries of the world she has accumulated a considerable number of art pieces from Latin American countries and in particular of the Dominican Republic. At the end of her international career in January 2009, with the United Nations, she has decided to devote full time to the management and promotion of this project.
Parts of her collection included in this blog are for sale, alongside new pieces of art by new Dominican artists which have been added to this sample online.
Among the plans projected for this year, Ms. Rojas includes two exhibitions of Dominican artists to take place between October and December, in Athens, Greece and Geneva, Switzerland. With the aim of continuing the cultural diffusion of Latin American art.
